There are around 4,000 people in PA. They are based around the globe with offices across the US, UK Netherlands and the Nordics. The firm is structured in a way that they have 23 capabilities across a wide range of technical areas, so their expertise is very varied. The firm has a lot of people who have worked for many years in industry and now have come to work at PA. They bring inside experience which enables them to provide better, more informed, solutions to their clients.

Our Design, Engineering and Science capability are based in our Global Technology and Innovation Centre (GITC) in Melbourn, Cambridge. The roles you will learn about and will be available to apply for following the event:

  • Graduate Electronics Engineering Consultant – Our electronic engineers have expertise in creating electronic systems and are constantly learning about their craft and broadening their knowledge, working alongside colleagues who all have a passion for using what they know, every day. We work across the development process, from design, simulation and prototyping through, test and transfer to volume manufacture.
  • Graduate Software Engineer – Within the Software and Control team, we design and build software for real products and devices – some of the most innovative and life-changing imaginable. We love a challenge and the ability to use our technical know-how and innovative thinking to find the best answers.
  • Graduate Mechanical Engineer – The opportunity to experience all phases of development, from conceptualisation and theoretical design to hands-on building/prototyping and testing in their workshops. From assembling prototype test rigs to prove a new process is possible to developing food safe material that can survive being submerged.
  • Graduate Applied Physicist – Our Applied Physicist help clients understand, contextualise and mature science from paper to real world products and capabilities. From creating of radio receivers to cell and gene therapy.
  • Graduate Applied Scientist- Chemical Engineer/ Chemistry – Our chemical engineers/chemists work within our Applied Science team to help bridge the gap between science and engineering, focusing on engineering fundamentals to help scale up product and process innovations, and therefore making science real.

PA Consulting welcomes interest from graduates for their Autumn 2025 intake and those currently studying on an undergraduate course (graduating 2026) for their Summer 2025 internship and industrial placement intakes.

This event is ideally seeking candidates from the below degree backgrounds and those that fit the following criteria:

  • Electronic Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Software Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or any other relevant degree backgrounds.
  • Must have achieved or be on track to receive a minimum 2:2 grade in your degree discipline.
  • Full unrestricted right to work in the UK.

Application Process 

  • Candidates will be required to undergo a pre-interview test with Sanctuary Graduates as part of the application process. This is a fantastic opportunity for PA Consulting to get to know more about you as a person, as well as understand your motivation to apply for this exciting event.
  • After the screening process if successful you will receive an email invitation to the event with a full timeline and itinerary for the day.
