The firm is looking for analytical and innovative undergraduates to join their Technology division on their 2022 Placement Year Programme designed for students who require a year industry as part of their degree.
Technology sits at the heart of what they do from providing creative solutions to designing and developing cutting edge products. You’ll work on a range of initiatives, which will allow you to broaden your expertise and discover which area of technology you enjoy the most.
What is the role?
This role will sit amongst Schroder’s technology team in EMEA which spans across the entire business and is made up of several teams and divisions. You will be rotating between the different technology teams covering Infrastructure, Risk, Development and Production which covers the EMEA offices. As a Placement student in Luxembourg, you’ll gain experience in one of the following teams covering Infrastructure, Risk, Development and Production which covers the EMEA offices.
What you’ll do:
-Participate in analysis, design, development, building and testing of solutions within an agile framework
-Contribute to the development of technology solutions, both in house developed bespoke applications and commercially available off the shelf solutions
-Learn business analysis techniques, methodologies and artefacts to support agile software development
-Analysis techniques, methodologies and artefacts to support agile software development
-Experience of working with global colleagues and stakeholders and sensitivity to cultural differences, time zones etc.
-Familiarise with Agile delivery methodologies and Cloud technologies
Who Can apply?
-You should be studying a degree in IT, Business Administration, Economics, Engineering or related technology or similar STEM / innovation field
-Excellent analytical skills, proactive, conceptual thinking and pragmatic approach
-Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset—you enjoy sharing knowledge and succeeding as a team
-Fluency in English
-Flexible – happy to get involved in a variety of tasks and projects
-Willing to spend 12 months in Luxembourg
