What is the role ?

A commercial sales intern role that sits in the JDE UK PROFESSIONAL Sales team. The role will report into a Segment Manager and will oversee various sales related projects over the year, covering our Cash and Carry and Wholesale and e-commerce channels.

Key responsibilities: 

– Working on key business projects that lead to long term decisions for JDE. This could include evaluating the performance of products in customers and recommending best practice for future planning

– Collecting and understanding the latest customer and market trends/insights and advising on how these should be reflected into our sales plans, activity execution and forecasting

– Interacting with various JDE customers within Cash and Carry, Wholesale and e-commerce and providing support to ad hoc requests whilst also being an external contact for JDE.

– Key focus is to drive a new business agenda through our indirect wholesale customers.

– The ability to explore different business functions and find projects which interest you, to further develop your skills.

– Being a key part of the JDE student charity, creating internal sales events and creating awareness while raising money for a great cause.

For this role as an intern, we’re looking for someone who has the following skills and experience:

– Microsoft Word / PowerPoint and Excel entry level understanding

– Being confident and willing to stand up and present 

– Someone who can work as a team but can also manage their own time to complete their own workload.

– A drive & passion or interest for achieving targets.

– Sees solutions as opposed to problems
