Who is the company?
The hiring company is a London based tech scale-up with customers all over the world. They want to change shopping for the better – for both retailers and shoppers. Technology plays a big role in this, so they are passionate about using it to enhance our daily lives.
The company was founded in 2016 by two friends. When they decided to start a business together one thing was absolutely clear – they would apply their experience of transforming complex data to an industry people understood and make technology that’s accessible to all. Retail was the perfect fit.
The team is jam-packed with deep-tech experts, serial entrepreneurs and product gurus. They are unashamedly geeky and reassuringly human.
What is the role?
Joining a small team of 8 developers, you will be working to deliver client projects based on their business requirements.
The projects you will be working on will depend on the needs of the clients within their business. This could be anything from the client wanting to increase sales from their website, to creating a more user-friendly web interface for the client.
Once you have received the brief for the project, you will then have to research and understand the issues raised, come up with solutions for the issues and then create front-end visuals to solve those issues.

Each year they organise a festival where everyone in the company has a 2 week break where they work on whatever project they choose! You will have the freedom to build and create whatever your heart desires, with the opportunity to present your project to the team at the end of the festival.
The hiring company has regular ‘show and tell’ sessions, where the developers show the team what they have been working on, so the wider team can help give advice and tips on how best deliver the project. They have a very close-knit, collaborative working environment!
There will be opportunities for you to present your finalised project to the client to show off your work. However this is only if you would like to take the initiative to do so – they have a very diverse range of personalities in their team: there is a place for everyone!
