What is the role?

  • Joining Lending Works’ growing Data Science team and using the latest technology stack, you will have an instant impact in delivering insightful analysis and visualisation projects at a growing Fintech company. Working alongside more experienced team members you will be responsible for:
  • Delivering insightful data analysis on the drivers of business performance as well as creating, updating and maintaining dashboards and visualisations that will be used cross-company in Tableau and Quicksight.
  • Building data engineering pipelines that underpin analysis and reporting and using internal and external data to identify improvements in processes, whilst working with stakeholders to assess and quantify the impact of new initiatives.
  • Develop comprehensive ETL workflows and collaborate with technology and other team members to deploy scalable solutions.
  • Undertake data analysis on customers, pricing, loan performance, wider market etc. to understand what has happened and recommend improvements.
  • Working with stakeholders to assess and quantify the impact of new initiatives.
  • Investigating and resolving a broad range of data quality issues, collaborating with the Technology team and external parties where necessary.

Who is best suited to this role?

 

  • You must have achieved or be on track to achieve a 2:1 from a top university in an analytical degree such as Mathematics, Statistics, engineering, economics, computer science as well as an A in A-level mathematics (or equivalent).

 

  • Someone with demonstrable programming ability in Python.

 

  • You must have strong analytical and numerical skills, as well as having the ability to learn quickly and take on new challenges.

 

  • You must have a high degree of ownership, taking an organised and strategic approach to work.

 

  • You must have excellent communication and presentation skills.
